Weekend Overnight Ratings Roundup (22-24 April 2022):
An interesting weekend, where we saw the series premiere of ITV's Grace, the final episode of Killing Eve and numerous shows continued into their second week.
FRIDAY:
Gogglebox continued this week slightly up on last with 3.1m watching (20.8%), making it the third most-watched show of the night. As usual, tops of the day went to the ITV soaps, each claiming figures in the high 3m mark.
Elsewhere, BBC's Not Going Out saw a gentle rise, sitting at 2.1m to take 7th for the day. The Invictus Games had an audience of 1m, putting it in 17th for the day,
SATURDAY:
Britain's Got Talent remained very solid, sticking with an audience of 5.2m (35.8% share). This put it easily ahead of any other show that day, and gave a slid lead-in for The 1% Club which followed with 3.8m watching. Romeo & Duet dipped slightly and entertained 1.7m (14.1% share), just bested by a celebrity edition of The Hit List which had a 16.6% share and the same audience figure. Killing Eve ended with 1m watching, putting it in 14th for the day.
During the day, Saturday Kitchen Live performed well with 0.9m watching (19.3%).
On Sunday night, ITV launched its latest series of Grace which had 3.2m watching, but it was no match for the BBC1 Sunday night staple, Antiques Roadshow which sat ahead with 4.2m. Gentleman Jack continued with 2.4m, just bested by the likes of Our Changing Planet with 2.7m.
Elsewhere, Channel 5 took 9th for the day when we went Holidaying With Jane McDonalds: Florida which entertained 1.2m (8.4%). For BBC2, the Live Snooker: The World Championship performed well with 0.8m tuning in during the afternoon, and 0.7m in the evening.
Sky Sports Main Event had the best daytime audience, however, with 1.1m tuning in to watch Live Renault Super Sunday at 1pm.
