 Doctor Who: The Big Review Season 11 (1973 - 1974) And we're back with Pertwee's final season in the role! I'm excited for this one, I know we have some more insightful people to meet, like the lovely Sarah-Jane Smith. I get to meet the likes of the Sontarans too! There's a lot to look forward to, and with how much I enjoyed Season 10, I'm really excited to see where this one goes. Doctor Who: The Big Review Season 10 (1972 - 1973) And we're back with Pertwee's fourth season in the role! I'm excited for this one, I know we have some more alien attractions to see and I know we begin with our first multi-Doctor story! From villains like Omega to the usual culprit, the Daleks. I'm not sure how I'll perceive these stories, but I've heard some great things... At least for some of them! Without further ado, let's just get into it!   Doctor Who: The Big Review Season 9 (1972) It's Pertwee's third season and there's a roller coaster of stories to come. We see the eagerly anticipated return of the Daleks, the arrival of the Sea Devils and The Master eventually returns to meddle with The Doctor. Doctor Who: The Big Review Season 8 (1971) He's now firmly in the role, Pertwee is moving on to his second season. We say goodbye to Liz Shaw in the last serial of Season 7, making way for the wonderful Jo Grant (portrayed by Katy Manning). This season will bring in new long-time foes like The Master as well as harkening back to some other creatures like the Autons. With five serials, there's little room for error, so fingers crossed for a great season with some rather brilliant stories! Doctor Who: The Big Review Season 7 (1970) Here we are, the start of a new era. Season 7 sees the bright new beginning of a new Doctor... Jon Pertwee. A season much smaller in size may take some getting used to, but I know colour television is definitely a welcomed change. The Third Doctor will face the Autons and Silurians in what I'm hoping to be a rather brilliant season. Lucky for us, Season 6 marked the end of missing stories so that is of no concern anymore... What we have now is a new Doctor, new stories, and a refreshing start to a new era of Doctor Who. Let's Go! Doctor Who: The Big Review Patrick Troughton Era (1966 - 1969) A more comical character with bundles of charm and a rather weird love for wind instruments... The Second Doctor fought off Cybermen like there was no tomorrow, met fairy-tale creatures and some rather odd-looking monsters like the Krotons, but his tenure came to an end with his own race... The Time Lords. Throughout this post I'll explore the viewing figures, the overall ranking of his era, my personal favourite stories and some likes and dislikes. Patrick Troughton had a rather consistent audience for his three-season tenure, although the occasional episode slipped, it didn't quite have the range of some other Doctors.  Each season intercepted each other most of the time, the largest differences being the downward spiral of season six where it hit just under 5 million.   Doctor Who: The Big Review Season 6 (1968-69) Season 6 brings us to the end of the Troughton era. Three seasons and he's given us a triumphant bank of stories. It brought my first A+ score and saw the introduction of the iconic Cybermen. This series was widely regarded as one of the strongest and I have high hopes. Along the way, the TARDIS team will meet fictional foes like Medusa herself, the Cybermen obviously, and beings like the Krotons. Unfortunately, there are missing episodes, but it doesn't affect us as much as it has in the past.
