Weekly Ratings Roundup (7 Feb - 13 Feb 2022)

So, another week of 2022 has come to an end, so I thought it a good idea to put all my findings (as seen on Twitter) from within this week in one big blog post, from all the charts, to the odd tweet:

Call The Midwife continues its domination of UK TV, keeping its gold place position. BBC drama did rather well over this period, with three shows making the top ten. The Masked Singer reached a peak of 7.3 million for its final episode, and No Return debuted with 5.3m.

A hit and miss week, where there were a nice mix of channels rising or decreasing on their previous week. Drag Race UK v The World continues to dominate BBC3, and The Gilded Age proves popular still.

The chosen channel of the week was Sky Atlantic which has numerous global shows airing, including The Gilded Age which had 755k across its two main showings. Euphoria had 205k watching as it continues to find its audience. Billions performs well, and The Fear Index takes 476k with both main airings considered. It may not be the best week for the channel, but it's still quite solid.

Below are some tweets from this week:

ITV’s new series, #Starstruck began with an official audience of 4.31 million, claiming a rather healthy 26% share. It was the 18th most-watched show of the channel for that week.

A nice week on ‘Sky Witness’ (7-13 Feb) which saw #TheEqualizer take the top spot with 708k viewers. #TheRookie held 617k, and #911onFOX arrested 516k.

Moving on, we'll look at the weekend box office figures, they are as follows:

Uncharted made a reasonable debut with $6.4m over the selected weekend. It managed to topple Sing 2 which entered its third week, adding another $4.3m. Death on the Nile made a slightly weaker debut with $2.6m in takings for its first weekend - not quite hitting the highs of Uncharted. Even still, it put it above Belfast which continued with another $1.4m, taking its total gross in the UK up to $15.29 million. The biggest loss in the top five came from Jackass Forever which had its takings take a 50% cut, adding only $1.4m on over this weekend, to settle at $5.5 million.
