UK TV Ratings Top 30 (8 March - 14 March 2021)
Meghan & Harry's Oprah Interview nears 15 million viewers, topping the week by a huge distance. Gogglebox keeps growing. The Voice UK takes another slight dip.
Harry & Meghan keep Monday Night at the number one spot. Thursday knocks Tuesday off the bottom spot, this being the worst performing night of the week, its highest placing being 24th with the BBC News at Six (5.3m).
The top three for the week was somewhat similar to last. Harry and Meghan topped the chart with 14.8 million viewers. This calculates at a total share of around 57%. Tremendous figures there for ITV. Bloodlands held on to second place this time around, with a rather strong figure 8.15 million (29.5%). Unforgotten took third place this time with just under 7.5 million watching (30%).
Elsewhere, Gogglebox continues to be a giant for Channel 4, this week garnering an audience of 6.7 million (29.5%). Taking fifth for the week, Grace, starring John Simm, had just over 7.2 million watching (26.2%). Another strong one was, of course, Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. That had 7.3 million watching, another slight decline, but still puts it in 4th (35.2%). The Great Celebrity Bake Off returned with great figures, the first episode having 5.63 million watching (23.3%). Top Gear also made its return to TV on BBC One, pulling in 5.9 million viewers (22%) which puts it in 12th.
Moving on to the Soaps, as to be expected, Coronation Street was the top soap. The peak viewership was on Monday night with 6.68 million watching (up 0.06m). Emmerdale was second in the battle of the soaps with a high of 5.6 million (up 0.18m). EastEnders peaked with 4.8 million viewers this time around (down 0.26m). Neighbours also saw a slight increase with a 1.05 million (up 0.05m). Home and Away peaked with 449k viewers (down 32k). Hollyoaks had a high of 992k (156k).
The Circle returned this week, its highest figures being 1.83 million and 1.8 million. Pretty decent figures for Channel 4. Resident Alien continued with 630k. Dancing On Ice remained on par. It only slightly dipped to 4.22 million (32.1%). The Voice UK received an identical figure but with 31.6% instead.
