For fans, Kerblam! came as a nice surprise from the heavy drama and difficult stories of last week's episode - Demons of the Punjab. Not only that, but it gave Series 11 an episode that felt like it came straight from the Russell T Davies era. This outer space Amazon proved a great setting for a tense roller coaster of an episode with great visuals, spooky robots and a terrific cast. Jodie Whittaker continued to shine in this episode proving to the audience that she is the perfect fit for The Doctor. Not only did she give a child-like charm, she gave a tense, no nonsense performance that really made her the stand-out character like you'd expect The Doctor to be. Promotional Image for American Horror Story's eighth season. An absolute delight for fans, even if some episodes did seem too bland for the long-awaited crossover. Blood, witchcraft, gore, explosions and some pretty extreme examples of satanism have carried us through to the end of another season. This season was the ones fans had been waiting for – The Murder House & Coven crossover. For the most part, it delivered! First of all, Jessica Lange made her long-awaited return as Constance Langdon and it was worth the wait. Lange has a presence on screen that puts the viewer in awe of her talents. Simply just meandering around the shot was enough to make fans and critics alike go crazy and my opinion was no different. However, not all the acclaim can be left with Lange. She may have had some pretty iconic pieces of dialogue, but Emma Roberts also brought back her iconic role as Madison Montgomery in style. A snapshot of Taissa Farmiga in The Nun. Jumpy and tense, but somewhat predictable.  The Nun was one of 2018's most anticipated releases since its confirmation last year and although it wasn’t the best film of the franchise, it delivered scares and thrills in abundance.  First of all, I feel like the cast were well-suited to the film. I appreciated the relation of Taissa Farmiga to Vera Farmiga and automatically thought that this could’ve been something they used to their advantage. The rest of the cast were decent enough, but nobody really offered a spell-binding performance, and nobody had a particularly strong/well-developed story. Having said that, I didn’t expect very detailed character arcs anyway because I simply wanted to be scared, and as I sat in a surround sound cinema with a wall to wall and ceiling to floor screen, this was quite an easy triumph. Cooper's directorial debut was a real and refreshing addition for Hollywood film. Gaga has already shown her acting capabilities in American Horror Story: Hotel in which she received a Golden Globe for her role as The Countess. Her impressive acting ability continued into her role as Ally in A Star Is Born. Gaga delivered a very pure and raw performance that encompassed the harsh realities of the music industry and their toll on wannabe performers.
